OK, I know I haven't posted in a while, but I'm nailing down the details on the next Scriptwriters Network newsletter. You'll have to forgive me. YOU HAVE TO. :)
So here are a few links I've come across lately.
Here's a nice article on ScriptShadow titled Why bad scripts sell, and why it shouldn't matter to you. Soooo many new writers subscribe to the "crap plus one" philosophy. Don't fall into that trap.
Another link promotes my very good friends, Nunzio DeFilippis and Christina Weir! They recently had a signing down in Hollywood with Rashida Jones for their co-written Frenemy of the State comic.
Grab a copy now, because the comic has also been picked up by Universal to become a movie! Everybody together now: oooOOOooo. :)
And my last link is from a person making a $1M indie film. Ever wonder about the inside scoop as to how you go about making a small movie? You should be curious, because really, very little stands in the way of people making their own films these days. Check out Nate Winslow's post on the Go Into the Story blog.

I thought that's what was keeping you busy.
ReplyDeleteVery cool story about "Weir/DeFilippis." Rashida Jones and a movie deal. Nice!
It was a fun event (I attended the signing). Although the taco truck was mysteriously absent... :)
